MONKS ELEIGH BENEFICE
LAVENHAM DEANERY
RECTOR VACANCY FROM NOVEMBER 1st 2011
2011
Monks Eleigh Benefice is situated in the beautiful Brett and Box valleys in south Suffolk.
Centred on the ancient village of Monks Eleigh, the five-parish Benefice also encompasses the ancient Suffolk villages of Brent Eleigh, Chelsworth, Kettlebaston and Milden.
In October of 2011, our Rector, the Reverend Canon Brian Findlay retired. This web site has been designed to help us to find our next Rector - and to help you to find us. In it you will find details of our Benfice, the parishes that make it up, and the beautiful part of Suffolk in which they lie.
In accordance with the protocols of the Diocese, the Job Description for this post are still being estabished, and we will not start the official recruitment process until that time. However in the interim, please look through pages of this site, and if you have any questions then contact one of the Churchwardens (see the Benefice page). The Job Description and other details about the post will be added to this site when the statutory process begins.
If you would like us to try to contact you when the recruitment process begins, then please let us know on the e-mail address below.
Welcome to the Monks Eleigh Benefice site
The Benefice will shortly be recruiting a new Rector. We believe that is a great opportunity for a member of the clergy to join a lively community in a part of the country that manages to be modern whilst preserving the best of its local traditions.
Might you be that person?
